In the last decade, the Nigerian fashion scene has gown by leaps and bounds.Indigenous designers are now competing fiercely on the international scene.
If you ever find yourself in this part of the world , do check out some of their pieces.Or attend some of the fashion shows, you would be impressed.Some of my favorites are;
Babe for life
She makes a line of ready to wear patched ankara dresses.I just loooove her stuff.
She makes men's, women's and kids clothes.
Ejiro Amos Tafiri
She is another favourite of mine. She makes a line of ready to wear as well as couture pieces. She has participated in alot of fashion shows both in Nigeria and internationally.
Her pieces include casual, formal and evening dresses, tops, skirts, pants, kaftans, boubous and laptop bags for ladies and for men, traditional tunic and pants (buba and sokoto) and biker jackets.
Republic of foreigner
The label by 2 sisters Carmen and Selena Sutherland is a a breath of fresh air. Their collections are not only fun and colourful, but they can cover you from day to night.
